Cally Festive Lights switch-on is Saturday 30th November

The Cally’s annual Festive Lights switch-on is happening on Saturday 30th November. It’s at Freeling Street and in the Jean Stokes Centre. The event will feature music and local choir performances, free food and mince pies from local retailers, activities for children, a roaming Santa – and lots more!

The Mayor of Islington will be present to ceremoniously switch-on the lights up and down the Caledonian Road.

This year’s event is organised by the Cally Traders Association with help from the Council.

There will also be a drop-off point accepting donations for the Copenhagen Street Food Bank.

Cally Councillor Paul Convery says: “We are proud of our high street and this year’s Festive Christmas lights are part of continued efforts by the Cally Traders Association and the Council to boost our local shops and keep the high street as the heart of our neighbourhood.”
